Crown Whip Shield is a lightweight leave-in mist that helps detangle, smooth, and add shine while providing heat protection. Made with hydrolyzed keratin, argan oil, and macadamia oil, it gives your mid-lengths and ends a little extra care before styling—and a soft, polished refresh between wash days.

Step Six. From scalp care to styling.
After cleansing and conditioning, apply Boost directly to your scalp and leave it in. Then reach for Shield.
Boost goes on your scalp. Shield goes through your mid-lengths and ends. Shake well, mist evenly, and gently comb through. Leave it in, then continue with your styling products as needed.
Shield is Step Six in the Crown Care Method, before Lock and Polish. It also works as a standalone leave-in mist when your lengths need a detangling or smoothing refresh.

A few things before you mist
Do I rinse Shield out?
No. Shield is a leave-in mist. Apply, comb through, and leave it in.
Can I use it on dry hair?
Yes. Apply to damp or dry hair, focusing on mid-lengths and ends. If you are using hot irons afterward, let your hair dry fully first.
Does it replace Boost?
No. Boost is your leave-in scalp tonic. Shield is your detangling and styling-prep mist for your lengths. They have different jobs in the same routine.
Does it replace conditioner?
No. Use Nourish or Restore as your rinse-out conditioning step, then use Shield as a leave-in.
